The School of St. Jude’s in Arusha is an East African Fund project which provides free quality education to 1,800 school children from communities in Tanzania. Also based in Arusha, we were proud to sponsor a prize safari won at a fund-raising event in Australia.
All funds raised at the event went to St. Jude’s and will help them continue to grow, improve their school and better the education they give to local children. Naturally, we were thrilled to offer our support.
The sponsored safari experience
When Infinite Horizons safari consultants contacted us to ask if we’d like to be one of the sponsors, we were more than happy to help. As a key sponsor, we provided and organised a safari vehicle and guide-driver for a five-day safari.
Other sponsors provided accommodation and park fees with everyone pooling their resources to ensure an incredible safari experience for the lucky winners.
The safari started at The School of St. Jude’s and finished in the Serengeti where the guests continued their adventure with a different safari company.
Normally we tailor a safari to suit the guests interests and budget but the process was slightly different in this case as the accommodation was already planned so our itinerary needed to suit that.
Our guide got to know the guests before and during the trip so that he could do his best to find the specific wildlife they were most hoping to see. Since Tarangire National Park and the Serengeti are teeming with wildlife, and our qualified guides are all highly experienced and knowledgeable, the trip of a lifetime was guaranteed.

Guest feedback
We loved being able to show the prize winners around Tanzania and they loved the experience. In particular, they loved:
- The Nature Discovery Safari Guide – and being allowed to have a go driving the safari vehicle!
- Our commitment to responsible tourism;
- Our commitment to eliminating single-use plastic water bottles.
When asked what the enjoyed most about the safari our guests said:
“Relaxed, flexible guide plus being able to refill our own bottles with safe drinking water.”
